I ring in a Hand Bell Ensemble at church, and, as part of worship this morning we rang a new piece called 'Fantasy on Kings Weston'. The bell ensemble bought this piece in memory of my mum who passed away in June. It was a great honor to ring this peice at all 3 services this morning.
Our fantastic Communications Department managed to record it for me so here is the start of the service and the Fantasy on Kings Weston.
(The bell piece starts 3:16 into the clip - be patient with it is as the clip takes a while to load!)

THANK YOU, Peter!
Participating in the ringing of this beautiful piece to the glory of God and the memory of your Mum was pure jou.
Peace,
Bill
Hey thats pretty cool.
Why do you wear gloves? And what's the guy doing at the front with big bells - is he flicking them?? I bet its hard if you lose you place!
p.s nice quick changes for you I noticed!
Hey Pablo, the gloves gives you a better grip of the bells and also protects them from getting tarnished by sweat etc.
The big bells being 'flicked' in the front are the bass bells. I used to ring those with Bill, and we would pick them up of a table to ring just like the other bells, but we lost a ringeg so I moved up to a different position. By putting the bass bells in a console like that it enables one person to cover the bass alone (although purists frown on them somewhat LOL).
